The Holy Spirit


Having believed you were marked in Him with a seal – the promised Holy Spirit who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who Are Gods possession – to the praise of his glory….I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better.
Ephesians 1:13

Gifts of the Holy Spirit


There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men
1 Corinthians 12:4-7; 29-30

And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able ……… But eagerly desire the greater gifts.
1 Corinthians 12:29-30

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts especially prophecy

For everyone who asks receives,he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened. Which of you if his son asks for bread will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask.

God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts but bold and loving and sensible

Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

Miracles Signs Wonders

Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Mark 16:20

So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.

How shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

Authority and Power –Jesus – Us


and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.

Promises bringing Healing


The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced... For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Being Transformed


Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lords glory are being transformed into his likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:17

For God who said “Let light shine out of darkness” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us

Freedom


It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1


Sin


God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:2


Mercy


For the Lord your God is a merciful God, he will not abandon or destroy you….
Deuteronomy 4:31

He saved us not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
Titus 3:5


God as Father
 

I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.
1 Chronicles 17:13

David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, “Praise be to you, Lord, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
1 Chronicles 29:10

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.

God as Helper and Protecter
 

I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.

Even if you go and fight courageously in battle, God will overthrow you before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to overthrow.
